So a few posts ago, I shared with you my character, The Mythical Hero, who has a cameo role in the indie fighting game “Rumble Pack”. Well, now I’m here to share with you some of his in-game color palette!:
#1: His standard color. The colors of a true hero.
#2-3: He calls these two “Fire and Ice”
#4: From his short stint as a ninja-for-hire. Hey, he had bills to pay…
Okay, so TMH is a TOTAL RPG nerd. Thus, colors 5-14 are a bit peculiar…
#5: Themed after the fighter sprite from the first 3 games in his favorite, long-running RPG series.
#6: Themed after the main character from the 4th game in the series, after he undergoes a transformation from darkness to light.
#7: He was quite fond of the 5th game in the series. It really conveyed a spirit of adventure.
#8: The female protagonist in the 6th game had a really striking color palette. He thought she was a strong, well developed character.
#9: The spiky haired hero in the 7th game was immensely popular, but this entry isn’t one of his faves.
#10: The stoic, introspective hero of the 8th game in the series had the coolest weapon on the planet. TMH swears that one day he’s gonna make one…or materialize it out of thin air, as he tends to do. You know what they say, “With great power…comes self indulgence”.
#11: The 9th entry was a total love letter to fans of the series. TMH loves the spirited, dexterous hero from that game.
#12: The 10th game got a lot of flak for its linearity, but TMH really liked the tight narrative, even if some of the voice work was corny.
#13: TMH’s love-hate relationship with the 12th game in the series was marked by more love than hate. It grew on him. The art direction was pretty sweet, in spite of departures from the mainstays.
#14: The 13th game in the series did a lot of things wrong and a lot of things right- one of which was bringing back gun-swords and that awesome lead female.
Lastly, in the world of Rumble Pack, there is a very significant set of colors. Thus, TMH’s cameo would not be complete without:
#15: “RP Colors”, as he calls them.
Enjoy!
